2022-23 Read to Achieve Results.

*In the 2012-2013 academic year, North Carolina switched to the Common Core Standards. The statewide composite for this year was 44.7%. This was also the last year before the release of school performance grades, which were implemented in the 2013-2014 academic year.

**In 2018, North Carolina discontinued use of the A+NG school performance grade distinction so that the highest grade attainable became the A.

Since inception in fall 2010, Henderson Collegiate has:

  • Achieved all AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) and AMO (Annual Measurable Objectives) targets (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023)
  • Exceeded Expected Growth (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023)
  • Earned School of High Growth (2011 and 2012; distinction discontinued in 2013)
  • Earned School of Distinction (2011 and 2012; distinction discontinued in 2013)
  • Earned Title I Reward School (2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016) (Distinction discontinued in 2017 with transition to ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act).)
  • Achieved 100% of its EVAAS (Education Value-Added Assessment System) growth goals (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023)
  • Earned School Performance Grade of B (2014, first year grades issued, 2019, 2022, and 2023)
  • Earned School Performance Grade of A+NG (2015, 2016, and 2017)
  • Earned School Performance Grade of A (NCDPI abolished A+NG grade in 2018, so A is now highest earned.)
