How We Use Our Funds:

Because Henderson Collegiate operates a unique academic program we rely on funding from grants and private donations to supplement public funds. Additional funding helps to pay for our unique programming, which includes:

• More time in the classroom for academic excellence  - we provide 65% more instruction time than a traditional public school;
• Extended field lessons which foster experiential learning, acquisition of new skills, and team building;
• Outstanding professional development for our staff; and
• Transportation. Charter schools in North Carolina do not receive funding for buses. We bus our students to school everyday and must cover associated costs with private funds.
