Support our Summer Camp
Champions are made in the off season!
Did you know that a student can drop more than one grade level in both reading and math proficiency during the summer break?
At Henderson Collegiate, we can’t stand the possibility that our students will lose ground after all of the progress they’ve made this year. So we’re doing something about it by providing a unique summer opportunity of academic and athletic enrichment.Planned and coordinated by our Dean of Instruction, Carice Sanchez, our summer camp is designed to not only prevent that skill loss but also provide unique opportunities for students to advance in other areas.

Students will be led by a team of highly qualified teachers and athletic specialists. Every lead teacher for all academic, elective, and athletic classes has multiple years of teaching experience. We will also rent the swimming pools at the YMCA and Aycock Recreation Center, employ bus drivers, hire caterers for lunch, and purchase the necessary athletic equipment. In total, this camp costs about $13,000 or $130 per student. We have asked our parents to contribute $50, leaving a balance $80 per child.
We need your help to fill this gap and provide an unforgettable summer experience for our students! Please consider sponsoring a child’s experience and donating $80. Your support will enable our students to receive 12 days of learning and fun. Checks can be sent to the address below or you can donate online by visiting our website www.HendersonCollegiate.org.
