Ashley joined Henderson Collegiate in 2011 as a Teach For America corps member teaching 5th grade English/Language Arts.  In 2013, she transitioned into leadership as the 4th and 5th Grade Level Chair and then in 2014 became an Instructional Coach.  This school year she is serving as the Founding Principal at Henderson Collegiate Elementary School.  In addition, Ashley has served as a Curriculum Specialist at Teach For America’s Mississippi Summer Training Institute.  She earned her B.A. from James Madison University in Media Arts and Design with Minors in Humanitarian Affairs and Spanish and earned a Masters of School Administration from N.C. State University.

Caitlin earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from the Pennsylvania State University.  In 2009, she began her teaching career as a Teach For America corps member.  Caitlin taught 8th Grade Science at Northampton County High School in Gaston, NC.  She joined the team at Henderson Collegiate in 2012 as the Development Director and served in that role for four years before transitioning to her current role as Director of Operations at Henderson Collegiate Elementary School.  Caitlin is a member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee and the Department of Public Instruction’s Committee of Practitioners.

Our School

Henderson Collegiate Elementary School is a free, public charter school program that provides students with not only the academic skills and content knowledge they will need for success in college, but also with the character skills and habits that will enable them to persist all the way through college to graduation.
