Panel OKs permit for new school; Henderson Collegiate already has location, to open next school year
By William West – www.hendersondispatch.com The Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday afternoon approved a special use permit for t he future Henderson Collegiate Charter School at the southwest corner of County Home Road and Health Center Road, but not without school organizers being surprised by an opposition statement by their future neighbor.

Vance panel likes leasing land to school
Property Committee members will recommend Jan. 4 that Vance Commissioners lease about two acres off Old County Home Road to the Henderson Collegiate Charter School. In return for the temporary site that would allow classes for 100 freshmen to begin next August, the school would pay the County $1 a year for three years.
