Meal Distribution During School Closure for COVID-19

For families who need food while Henderson Collegiate is closed for COVID-19, Henderson Collegiate will be handing out breakfasts and lunches from our Middle School campus (1071 Old Epsom Rd. in Henderson) at the following times:

Day: Each Monday

Times: 7:45am to 9am;   4:45pm to 6pm

Please feel free to come out and get food – no sign-up is required for this.

Note: Foods are pre-packaged and are assembled into bags following strict safety measures outlined by the CDC to protect all staff and families.

Spring Break Packets for March 16 – April 6, 2020

As a result of COVID-19, better known as the Coronavirus, Governor Cooper issued an executive order that all public schools are to be closed for the next 2 weeks. Due to this mandate, Henderson Collegiate will change our Spring break and be closed from March 16th – April 6th. This means that the first day back for students will be April 7th.

It is important to understand that because we cannot predict what will happen next, this plan is subject to change. We will announceupdates in a timely manner.

Monday, March 16th, we will have a staff workday. Teachers will be working throughout the morning to provide break packets for all children. These packets are mandatory assignments and will be available for pickup from 1:00 – 5:00pm at our elementary, middle, and high school campuses.

Please be safe and if you feel for any reason your child may have or has been exposed to the novel coronavirus, please
contact your doctor immediately. Virus symptoms can range from mild to severe, and may include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Symptoms may appear in a few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure.

Sugar N Spice Preschool Is Now Accepting Pre-K Applications for 2020-2021

Henderson Collegiate’s neighbor, Sugar N Spice Preschool, is now accepting applications for their free, public Pre-Kindergarten program for the 2020-2021 school year!

Sugar N Spice Preschool is a Five Star preschool that provides quality care to children between the ages of birth through 12 years. They offer: before/after school care, summer care, track-out care, NC public Pre-K, private Pre-K, and full-time care.

Sugar N Spice Preschool is an independent school and is not part of Henderson Collegiate. Henderson Collegiate does not offer a pre-Kindergarten program.
